Right then, folks – 2026 is shaping up to be an absolute belter for gaming. We’ve got claws, cars, cards, and even a cartoon mouse with a jazz soundtrack. So, let's crack open Steam, get that wishlist ready and dive on in...
The roguelike deck-builder that had everyone hooked is back in March. Build a deck, face bizarre and unusual creatures, and uncover relics of power as you climb the newly evolved Spire. It’s bigger, nastier, and packed with new cards, potions, and super secret secrets. Returning characters mix with new, fresh faces, each with their own arsenal. It’s the sort of game that’ll have you saying “just one more run”.
At the moment, there's no concrete date, and no hardware requirements, but chances are - you'll be able to run it on anything within the last 10 years - including your smart fridge (OK maybe not a smart fridge).
Now here’s something different. Dropping on 19th March, this FPS looks like it’s been ripped straight out of a 1930s cartoon reel. Black-and-white, rubber-hose animation, jazz pumping in the background – and you’re a detective mouse called Jack Pepper. It’s bizarre, stylish, and utterly unique. Expect gunplay with a swing in its step and a world that feels equal parts beautiful and bonkers.#
This game is super friendly for all tiers of hardware, with requirements starting at a minimum of a RTX 1050 Ti (or similar) with 16GB RAM and super old Intel Core2 Duo or AMD Athlon CPUs.
Horror fans, brace yourselves. On 27th February, we’re heading back to Raccoon City – 30 years after the original outbreak. You’ll step into the shoes of FBI analyst Grace Ashcroft or the ever-iconic Leon S. Kennedy. Expect the usual mix of survival horror, tense exploration, and enough jump scares to make you spill your brew.
Whilst I say I wanna play this, I am an absolute scaredy cat and it'll probably sit in my library for a long, long time before I get my teeth into this one.
Requirements start with an Intel Core i5-8500 or AMD Ryzen 5 3500 processor, and RTX 1660 6GB or Radeon RX 5500 XT 8GB GPU - but recommend an Intel Core i7-8700/AMD Rzyen 5 5500 with a RTX 2060 SUPER 8GB or Radeon RX 6600 8GB GPU.
Bond’s back, but not as you know him. IO Interactive are giving us a fresh take on the world’s most famous spy, following his early days as a rookie MI6 recruit. Launching 27th May, it’s a standalone story where you can go loud or keep it stealthy – your call. Stylish, suave, and packed with that unmistakable Bond flair, this one’s got “must-play” written all over it.
Whilst we don't have any system requirements as of yet, chances are you're gonna want something relatively modern to enjoy this in all of it's glory.
This one’s got all the bricks and baddies you could ask for. Become the Dark Knight, and take to the streets of Gotham, with this action-packed adventure with brick smashing combat and classic LEGO humour.
Super villains don't stand a chance, allowing you to team up with allies like Jim Gordon, Catwoman, Nightwing, and Batgirl to fight absolute legends like The Joker, The Penguin, Mr. Freeze, Bane, and Poison Ivy...
This one's a little hungry - with minimum specs say 16GB RAM, Intel Core i5-9600K/AMD Ryen 5 3600 with a RTX 2070 8GB, Radeon RX 5700 XT 8GB or Intel Arc A770 16GB - and recommended upping to 32GB RAM, CPU to Core i7-12700K/Ryzen 7 7700X and GPU to RTX 3080 or Radeon RX 6800 XT.
Petrolheads, rejoice. Forza’s next playground is Japan – a dream setting for anyone who loves JDM legends, or muscle cars, or hot hatches, or - well - anything with wheels. Expect neon-lit cities, winding mountain roads, and maybe even Mount Fuji, and the kind of open-world driving freedom that’s made Horizon the king of racing games. Whether you’re drifting through the busy streets of Tokyo, living your best Drift King lift at Shibuya Crossing, or blasting down the countryside, this one’s going to be a proper treat.
At the moment, we only know it's coming 2026, no hardware requirements are available, but chances are you're talking at least mid-tier RTX 20-series or higher, especially if you want to enjoy 1440p with higher quality.
Lara Croft is back. Get your nostalgia on with this reimagining of the 1996 classic, which promises globe-trotting adventures from Peru to Greece to Egypt. Think deadly traps, puzzles that’ll have you scratching your head, and the sort of treacherous terrain that’ll make you sweat just watching. It’s a proper nod to the roots of the franchise, but with modern polish. And who knows, maybe her trusty butler will finally learn to not follow us into the freezer...
Another unknown for hardware and release date, but it is hoped for a 2026 release, so fingers crossed.
It wouldn’t be a proper 2026 line-up without giving a nod to Rockstar’s juggernaut. GTA VI is looming large, and while details are still being drip-fed, the hype is already through the roof & the memes are accurate. What can we expect? WELL, for PC gamers, a long wait... no shock there. For PS5 and Xbox Series X|S gamers, you can enjoy it later this year - heading back to Vice City with two new characters and, presumably, a whole load of new trouble to get into. Might we see Tommy returning? Maybe, but the dude would be in his mid-70s by now... so who knows!
Another "console only title" at the moment - Insomniac Games are at it again. After smashing it with Spider-Man, they’re now giving Logan his own spotlight. Expect claws out, rage mode on, and plenty of blood-soaked brawls. Whilst there's no PC-release in sight, for those of us with a PS5 - we're meant to be able to sink our claws into it later this year. One thing’s certain: this isn’t going to be a polite stroll through the park – it’s Wolverine unleashed!
From mutant claws to Lara’s legendary puzzles, from Tokyo drifts to deck-building madness – 2026 is stacked. Whether you’re after adrenaline, nostalgia, or something completely off-the-wall, there’s a game here that’ll tick your box.
So, clear your calendar, stock up on snacks, and get ready – this year’s gaming line-up is looking to be a bit of a treat whatever your flavour.
